Katie Lance is the CEO/Founder of Katie Lance Consulting. Her passion for social media marketing and its potential to engage and connect with clients led Katie to specialize in one thing – social media for the real estate industry!
When Katie is not rocking the stage, running a virtual training on Zoom or creating fun content, you’ll find her enjoying life in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area with her amazing husband and our two incredible boys.
From a young age, Katie has had an undeniable passion for marketing, which flourished during her college years while working with Vector Marketing – the marketing arm for Cutco Cutlery. Rising through the ranks, Katie even had the honor of opening their office in Honolulu! She’d love to share more of this exciting journey over a glass of wine, exchanging stories and laughter.
In 2005, Katie took a leap into the real estate industry as the marketing director for Empire Realty, a boutique firm nestled in the vibrant SF Bay Area. It was a turning point, as she fell in love with both the real estate world and its entrepreneurial spirit. This experience set the stage for a fulfilling career ahead.
Transitioning to Inman News, Katie served as their Chief Strategist and Social Media Director. During her time there, Katie took immense pride in witnessing their social footprint soar from 7,000 fans and followers to an impressive 250,000. In 2011, she spearheaded the launch of Inman’s ambassador program, a community that now boasts some of the real estate industry’s most socially active members, with a remarkable reach of well over 2 million friends and followers.
Katie’s passion for elevating the real estate industry’s online presence led her to co-found Inman Next, the premier real estate industry blog. Additionally, she served as the managing editor for FOREM (Future of Real Estate Marketing), a widely respected and longstanding real estate blog.
In 2012, the entrepreneurial bug bit Katie and she took a bold step to establish Katie Lance Consulting. A few years later, her husband Paul Lance joined Katie on this incredible journey, leaving his corporate job to make their shared dream a reality.
