Real Estate AH-HA Moment

  • Rosemary’s AH-HA Moment goes all the way back to her childhood. While watching her parents work very hard in the hospitality industry, Rosemary learned quickly that hard work is rewarded. One day, her father said to her “Rosemary if you want to succeed in life, you have to work hard. If you are prepared to work hard, you will do well.” These words have stuck with her day in and day out on her journey through life!

Rosemary’s Big Goal

  • Rosemary’s big goal for this year is to make Gold Status in the LJ Hooker network. In order to achieve this, she will have to have over $1M in gross commissions.

Russell Shaw is an incredible Real Estate agent who is on a mission to tame the three-headed monster, Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com. He has signed on for the duration of his career to be a permeant critic of Zillow. In this exclusive interview Russell dives into murky waters and shares his experiences and issues with these companies. Zillow and their silly Zestimates were founded by Richard Barton with one goal in mind, to lower Real Estate commissions. Being the house of cards that all of these companies are, it is tough to determine why we should really be concerned about what they are doing, but Russell lays it out for everyone to understand! The lack of unity between the National Association of Realtors and Realtor.com, is almost more disgusting in Russell’s opinion than Zillow and Trulia combined. In his opinion, Realtor.com should be owned by the NAR and should be included in the annual due’s that agents pay, similar to the system that Canada has in place. Russell also chats about the insider trading that Zillow executives are executing. Learn all of the right reasons to be upset with the three-headed monster!

Join us as Russell Shaw shares his Real Estate frame of mind, and dives in-depth into what is truly wrong with Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com.

Real Estate AH-HA Moment

  • Being the office computer nerd came with its benefits and downfalls. While removing a virus from a fellow agents computer, Josh was given the advice to pack his bags and run. The man told him that without a sphere of influence, and a wad of cash in his pockets, Josh was wasting his time and effort. Taking this to heart, with tears in his eyes, Josh set off for the car and planned to pack it up until that AH-HA moment. “Who is that guy to tell me if I will be successful or not” Josh said to himself over and over again until he built up the confidence to march into the office, and cold call until success.

Current Business

  • At age 25 Josh is killing it! He has decided to commit to “under promising and over delivering” and because of this, last year was forced to turn down 100 listings so that he could maintain his 85% conversion rate on the listings he did take.

Success Quote – How To

  • “So my first year, I think I lost roughly around 33 to 34,000 (dollars) in commissions just from doing bonehead moves, and not understating what I should be doing. That was challenging, but it opened my eyes up to that fact that you need quality training and to learn systems.”

Real Estate AH-HA Moment

  • While attending a Brian Buffini seminar, Peter sparked up a conversation with the man sitting next to him. They began to talk numbers. This man laughed in Peter’s face at the 85-90 hour work weeks for the measly 1,000 dollars in commissions per sale that Peter was getting. Diving into this man’s numbers Peter saw how he could increase his sales volume to over $20M by simply moving across the country, and going to where the Super Bowl of Real Estate was, California.

Current Business

  • At age 25 Peter has an average sales price of $90k dollars. In this interview, he dives into how he went from that figure to $1M to $2.5M, and how he now plans to “burn the boats” and take that average sales price figure to the $4M dollar mark!
