Roger Perkins spent twenty-two years in the United States Navy and served as a Commanding Officer three times including Captain of the USS Frederick. After retirement from the United States Navy, there was no doubt that the Jacksonville area would be home for The Perkins Team, who settled in Eagle Harbor on Fleming Island in Clay County.
