Despite what some “real estate experts” claim, no listing presentation is guaranteed to work 100 percent of the time.

Still, there’s no doubt that some strategies are more effective than others. Recent Real Estate Rockstars guest Brian Moses has a presentation strategy that he claims works with over 90 percent of sellers.

I believe it, and here’s why:

Moses was one of Coldwell Banker’s top agents in the world. More specifically, he was their No. 2 agent, short of tying for the spot of top agent by just four deals.

Additionally, what he shared during our discussion made a lot of sense to me – a billion-dollar agent who has won countless listings. If I was still selling homes, I’d definitely give his strategy a shot. Continue reading

Recently, my associate Ian Lobas had the honor of interviewing Bravo star James Harris. Not only was Harris extremely open and candid when asked about his business and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, he was willing to offer some incredible advice for up-and-coming agents.

Plus, he had plenty to say about The Pocket Listing Service (PLS) – the first private platform for agents across the country to consolidate, share, and search exclusive pocket listings in their area.

In addition to making it possible to test price points without accumulating days on market, the PLS allows users to market to agents outside of their regular sphere. To find out how the PLS might help you sell more homes for more money, read on. Continue reading

In today’s digitally driven world, it’s important to carry yourself with class, especially when acting in a professional capacity.

With information on the Internet heavily influencing modern consumers’ decisions, something as seemingly insignificant as a single negative review can do major damage to your reputation.

Instead of trying to outline how real estate professionals should act, I figured it’d be more effective (and entertaining) to provide an example of how NOT to act as an agent. Continue reading

Wouldn’t it be great to spend all of your evenings and weekends with friends and family? How awesome would it be to take four, five, or even six vacations per year?

But as a busy real estate professional, how can you really take that much time away from work?

Recent Real Estate Rockstars guest Tony Ray Baker found a way. Continue reading

Whether you’re an agent or a real estate investor, the ability to find off-market homes is truly invaluable.

As an agent, not only are you able to win listings without worrying about competition, you’re able to show buyers homes that they can’t find anywhere else.

As an investor, going after off-market homes is one of the best ways to get great deals.

So, regardless of whether you want listings or deals, going after off-market homes is a strategy you should try.

Not sure where to start? No problem.

Gary Boomershine joined me on a recent Real Estate Rockstars podcast to share his proven system for finding off-market homes via direct mail. In addition to explaining where to send mailers and what to include in them, Gary breaks down the most effective follow-up process he’s found for converting direct-mail leads. Continue reading

Have you heard of John Henry?

This guy’s entrepreneurial journey is truly inspiring. Considering the fact that he’s only 26 years old, he’s accomplished a heck of a lot.

Currently, he owns two multifamily properties and a private equity fund worth $25 million. On top of that, he’s starring in Viceland’s docu-series, Hustle. Like NBC’s Shark Tank, it gives struggling small-business owners the chance to get some awesome advice in addition to huge opportunities for growth.

I had a great discussion with John during a recent Real Estate Rockstars podcast. In it, he drops some value bombs that could help you take your business to the next level. Continue reading
